Benue SUBEB boss, team visit school to assess possible expansion

Executive Chairman of the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Grace Adagba, yesterday visited RCM Primary School, Ihugh in Vandeikya Local Government Area to assess the ongoing projects and evaluate the school for possible expansion.

During the inspection tour, Dr Adagba supervised the ongoing infrastructure projects in the school and issued a marching order to contractors to ensure all projects were completed before the commencement of the rainy season. She emphasised the need for quality and timely delivery of projects, in line with Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia ‘s commitment to improving learning environments across the state.

As part of the visit, the Executive Chairman also surveyed available land for the proposed expansion of the UBE Junior Secondary School (JSS) section within the school premises. The proposed expansion is aimed at increasing access to basic education and strengthening the transition from primary to junior secondary level in the community.

Dr. Adagba interacted with newly employed teachers posted to the school, encouraging them to remain dedicated, hardworking and professional in the discharge of their duties.

She charged all teachers to uphold professionalism, promote unity of purpose and embrace teamwork to enhance effective service delivery in the education sector.

Responding on behalf of the teaching staff, the Principal of UBE JSS Ihugh, Mr. Msugh Gbev and the Head Teacher of RCM Primary School, Ihugh, Mr. Joseph Yachiga, in their separate speeches, appreciated the SUBEB boss for her proactive leadership and assured her of their commitment to supporting the Board’s vision for quality basic education in Benue State.
