Benue SUBEB boss honours staff

The Executive Chairman, Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) on Wednesday presented to staff the awards clinched by the board recently at the event organised by the Bureau for Public Service Reforms, Abuja.

The board was honoured with the award as the best State Universal Basic Education Board in ICT integration while the Executive Chairman bagged the Distinguished Gov Tech Trailblazers Award. The national awards were given in recognition of the outstanding digital initiatives undertaken by the board under the leadership of Dr Adagba.

Dr. Adagba, while addressing the staff at the meeting, credited the successes attained to the unwavering dedication of  the staff.

She emphasised that their collective efforts were key to national recognition and took the opportunity to surprise the staff with awards for their commitment and exceptional performance.

Some of those honoured included Dr. Karim Usman, director, Digital Resource Centre; Danladi Ochefu, Director Finance and Accounts; Dr Terzungwe Akaa, Director, Planning, Research, and Statistics; Mr Terkimbir Akura, Director,  Teacher Professional Development and Dr. Margaret Ugba.

Others are Protocol/Welfare Officer, Lois Gbenyi; Staff Officer, Jeremiah Mtsenga; Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Eric Mchihi; Helpline Operator, Ene Tyolanga; Desk Officer, Cleaning, Louise Ioron and members project design and implementation committee, Dickson Orkoh and Berikusu Musa.

Staff members expressed gratitude for the national recognition and awards. 

Mr. Joel Hilejime, Director, Quality Assurance and Prince Andy Uwouku, SUBEB Board member representing Zone B, both voiced their appreciation on behalf of the staff.

To address operational challenges, particularly in the Physical Planning and Technical Services Department, Dr. Adagba announced a financial provision  to cushion the increasing workload and to boost the morale of the staff to foster high performance at the Board.
