Benue State Police Command has arrested 30 suspected kidnappers, armed robbers and cultists. Commissioner of Police, Mr Ifeanyi Emenari, vowed: “No hiding place for criminals this year.
“Strategic deployment has been made to cover vulnerable spaces to ensure maximum security. Officers and men should wake up to crush criminals in the state. Operatives of B’ Division arrested a suspect for culpable homicide, a cult member, who macheted a victim to death in Gboko LG.
“Police at Dauda Division busted up a group of suspected Viking Confraternity cult members, planning to attack a rival cult. We arrested nine suspects in Kuje area of Dauda Guma LG.

“Two suspected armed robbers were arrested in Ako-Fale, Uta Vandelkya LG.
Police Yelwata Division received an intelligence that some cultists were planning to attack a rival group. The suspect are members of the MBS cult group and recovered a cutlass, knife and hard drugs.
“Another three were arrested for homicide by the police in Otukpo. A gang of armed men suspected to be cultists went to shoot a victim in his house. Police patrol team arrested armed bandits at Ukum. Ten suspects were also nabbed for for culpable homicide by the Divisional Police Office, Jato-Aka.
