Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has felicitated Muslims in Benue State, Nigeria, and across the world on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

Governor Alia, in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Tersoo Kula, encouraged the Muslim Ummah to embrace the lessons, blessings, and spiritual benefits of Ramadan in their daily lives, noting that the Holy Prophet’s teachings of love, peace, justice, and sacrifice are major contributors to nation-building.

He said, “I felicitate with all Nigerians, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters in the state, on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebrations.

“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitri, it is my hope and prayer that Ramadan’s spiritual lessons and the Holy Prophet’s teachings of love, justice, fairness, equity, peaceful co-existence with others, tolerance, honesty, and dedication to duty will remain with us all for the benefit and greater glory of our dear nation.”

Alia reminded all Nigerians of the importance of respecting the faith and beliefs of others and urged Muslims to use the celebration for sober reflection, praying for peace, unity, and progress in the state and the nation.

The governor wished all Muslim faithful a memorable Eid al-Fitr celebration.
