Commissioner of Police, Benue State, Mr George Chuku, has charged officers to be ready to confront criminals, just as the command arrested 14 suspected armed robbers and kidnappers. It also rescued two victims from the kidnappers’ hideout at Mchia, Logo Local Government.

He vowed: “We will smoke out hoodlums, especially armed robbers and kidnappers, who come from neighbouring states. I have ordered the deployment of the Police Tactical Team (PTT), to raid hotspots and ensure the safety of the people.

“I encourage my officers to imbibe community policing, which will enhance police and the public to work together as a team to smoke out hoodlums out of their environs. We need the cooperation of the entire public and other sister agencies including vigilance group and hunters to pave way for peace.
