…As Otukpo/Ohimini elders pass vote of confidence in Tinubu, Alia

The Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Chief Benjamin Omale, has hosted youths and some members of the party to a yuletide celebration with a call on them to sustain their support for the party in their bid to return Governor Hyacinth Alia to power in 2027.
The event, which held at his residence in Makurdi brought together APC faithful, youth groups, and other critical stakeholders including the media, security chiefs, women groups and the Alia Performing Musicians (APM) from the state.
The Chairman sued for unity, strength, and renewed commitment of the APC family in Benue State, especially as the political atmosphere gradually shifts toward the campaigns for the 2027 general elections, saying that Governor Alia’s re-election is sacrosanct and non- negotiable.
Omale, explained that the get-together was to thank God for His protection, guidance, and faithfulness over the APC family in Benue State throughout the year 2025.
The celebration, he said was also to appreciate party members, particularly youths and women of the party for their loyalty, sacrifices, and continuous support for the party at all levels.
While acknowledging the APC youths for demonstrating a homefront-soldier-line, having confronted danger, risk and escaped unharmed, Chief Omale added that unity and togetherness remain a powerful tool for building a successful political party and winning any election, especially as the party is working towards the re-election of Governor Hyacinth Alia.
“The party wants to appreciate the youths in a special way for supporting His Excellency and ensuring that the Alia movement is not cut short. You have really made us proud in the state. They have also promoted the party beyond reasonable doubt and that is why I have chosen them with few others to have a dinner with them.
“So, thank you for your sacrifice, love and patient as well as the moral support you have demonstrated and for promoting the good work of his excellency, Governor Alia. I want to assure you that this new year that we are beginning, there is a lot of hope, a lot of promise and aspiration that will lead you to your next destination.
“Governor Alia thinks about you, has plans for you and in this 2026, I will make sure that the youths of Benue State are not disenfranchised, but you must stand firmly and together in promoting the party, especially for the re-election of Governor Hyacinth Alia, come 2027.
“You know the angles, you know the jungles, the forest and all the ways and we are going to support you to support us,” he said.
Chief Omale who is also Chairman of the Enugu Orthopaedic Hospital, also acknowledge the contributions of the Alia Performing Musicians (APM) who have been using their musical apparatus to promote the good governance of Governor Alia in the state.
He announced plans by the party to launch a platform called “Alia Praise- Singers” where the singers will move alongside the governor and ensure that he receive his praises in tandem with his massive performances.
He also acknowledged the media, security and other critical stakeholders for their support and cooperation in ensuring the governor succeeds in office pledging continued partnership for the success of the state government.
Earlier in his remark, the Senior Special Assistant to the GoveQrnor on Youths Mobilisation and Illegal Levies, Mr. Terver Gbenda, praised Chief Omale for his leadership style, openness, support and commitment to the growth of the APC in the state.

He described the get-together as timely and necessary, especially in strengthening bonds among party members across the state and assured that, he would continue to organise and mobilise the youths to support and work for the success of the Governor Alia’s administration as well as his re-election in 2027.
Meanwhile, elders from Otukpo and Ohimini Local Government Areas of Benue State have passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia for their leadership of the country, state and party, the APC.
The elders, during a New Year visit to the Benue State APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Chief Benjamin Omale, expressed solidarity and support for the two leaders urging them to keep up the momentum to make the state and Nigeria great.
The elders and stakeholders of the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency also passed a vote of confidence in the National and State Chairmen of APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and Benjamin Omale, appreciating them for their commitment to strengthening the party at all levels.
The delegation, comprising elders, women, youths, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Alia, for his generosity and inclusive governance toward the Otukpo/Ohimini zone.
They noted that the governor’s love for the zone is evident in the appointment of the Deputy Governor, the allocation of two key ministries, Finance and Health, as well as the position of APC State Chairman, all of which are occupied by sons of the Otukpo/Ohimini axis.
Based on these considerations, the elders and stakeholders unanimously declared their readiness to mobilise support to ensure victory for the APC and Governor Alia in the 2027 elections.
They acknowledged Chief Omale for his steadfast leadership and commitment to strengthening the APC in Benue State.
The visit was led by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Musa Ujor, alongside notable leaders including Mr. Agbo Uloko, Yusuf Hussain, Wilfred Adegene, Austine Effa, Chief Eddy Anyebe, Alex Ineke, Elder John Achegbulu, and Anne Odeh, among many others.
Speakers during the visit extolled the progress of the APC under the current leadership and praised the governor’s leadership qualities.
The group also appreciated the governor for ensuring a peaceful and enjoyable Christmas celebrations, highlighting the improved security situation across the state during the festive season.
In his response, Chief Benjamin Omale thanked the delegation for their support and urged them to continue praying for leaders at all levels.
He encouraged active participation in the ongoing APC e-registration exercise and the continuous INEC voter registration, emphasising the need for unity and commitment ahead of 2027.
He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to justice, equity, fairness, and inclusive governance, assuring that the APC will continue to carry the people along in all its programmes.
