New kid on the block, Okafor Benjamin aka Benijamz, following the success of his hit single, Shine, recently dropped a video for the song which features Skuki and which has been heating up the airwaves.
Speaking, Benijamz, an undergraduate of LASPOTECH said: “I use my situations and things around me to write my music. What inspires me is what happens in my life. I am glad the video for my hit single, Shine is out and trending. I actually wrote the song in 2016 but due to some reasons, it was delayed hence the song focuses more on my past situation”
He also opened up on how he was christened Benijamz: “I used to have this funny nickname before but when the CEO of Naira Bet, Otunba Akin Alabi saw me freestyling on stage at YECO seminar at Eko Hotel, he gave me a lifeline that took me to Top entertainment studio but on getting there, the producers were like they could never work because of what they described as the kind of name I bear. They were like I can’t continue bearing that funny name so they decided to change it to Benijamz, since my name is Benjamin, so that was what brought out the name.”
