Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has commiserated with the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, over the death of his wife, Ifeoma Kalu.
Bello, in a condolence letter dated April 3, 2023, said he was deeply shocked to hear the news of the passing of Kalu’s dear wife, Mrs Ifeoma Adah Kalu, whose sad event occurred earlier on Monday.
“My dear friend, I am aware of how close you both were as husband and wife and I can imagine how grieving you are at the moment.
“I know it hurts so bad to lose a loving wife and dependable partner of many years. I wish I could find enough words to comfort you at this moment. You must, however, take solace in the time your wife spent with us and the testimonies of her fear of God and charity should provide strength for the family, knowing that she lived well, and served the will of the Almighty.
“I understand late Mrs Ifeoma Adah Kalu was an excellent woman, affectionate wife and dutiful mother of your children who was loved by all those who came in contact with her.
“Rest assured that my thoughts are with you and my prayers are that you, the children and all those she left behind will find the strength to continue where she stopped. May her soul find eternal rest.
“Accept my deepest sympathies, Your Excellency,” Bello said.
Also, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate in Adamawa State, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani), has said she received the sad news of the demise of Kalu’s beloved wife, Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu who died at the age of 61.
“I have known the late Mrs Ifeoma as a passionate woman who has made a huge investment in her lifetime to the service of God and humanity. Losing a pillar of Ifeoma’s standing at this time of your life would be devastating, but I urge you to be strong.
“On behalf of my family, I send my condolences and prayers. May God grant her eternal rest and give you the fortitude to bear this huge loss, Amen!,” Binani prayed.
