Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, has described the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a personal mission, pledging full support toward its realisation ahead of the next general elections.
Bello made the declaration while receiving members of the pro-Tinubu support group, Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) Movement, at his residence in Abuja.
Reaffirming his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the former governor said the party provided him with his first political platform, which culminated in his emergence and re-election as governor, as well as the succession of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the election of other officials across Kogi State since 2016.
“How can I be ungrateful to such a political party? President Tinubu’s re-election project is personal to me as a party man and in view of the Renewed Hope programmes already delivering progress for our nation,” Bello stated.
He also assured members of the movement of his readiness to collaborate with Barrister Seyi Tinubu and other stakeholders to ensure sustained political mobilisation and electoral victory.
Earlier, the leadership of the RTIFN Movement said the organisation was established to mobilise citizens at the grassroots, educate communities on government policies, promote the Renewed Hope agenda, counter misinformation, and strengthen public support for the administration’s programmes.
National Coordinator of the movement, Ambassador Ahmed Bala, commended Bello’s contributions to the APC and his commitment to national development, describing him as a dependable pillar in strengthening the party’s structure in the North-Central region.
Bello was subsequently decorated as one of the North-Central patrons of the movement, with a mandate to support mobilisation and stakeholder engagement across the region under the leadership of the founder, Barrister Seyi Tinubu.
Other dignitaries present at the event included the National Secretary, Ambassador Felix Arome; National Deputy Director of Contact and Mobilisation, Hajiya Aishat Oyiza Omade; National Publicity Secretary, Mr Musa Abdulrahaman; and the member representing Idah Federal Constituency and Kogi Project Coordinator, Rt. Hon. David Idris Zakariya, alongside other national and state executives of the movement.
