Bellew: Jake Paul won’t last in the ring with Anthony Joshua

Tony Bellew is doubtful Jake Paul will even get in the ring with Anthony Joshua, let alone trade leather with the two-time heavyweight champion.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer was due to fight lightweight sensation Gervonta Davis last month, but was forced to cancel the showcase after ‘Tank’ was accused of battery, false imprisonment and kidnapping by an ex-girlfriend. Following the cancellation, Paul issued several call-outs of several stars within the sport of boxing, including Francis Ngannou, Terence Crawford and Joshua.

Just days later, reports emerged that both Paul and Joshua were finalising a deal to fight each other this Christmas, before it was announced that the pair would be clashing on Friday, December 19 in Miami, Florida. The heavyweight dust-up will be contested over eight three-minute rounds.

Both men will be wearing 10oz gloves, and regardless of the end result, the official outcome will count on their respective records. Many have brutally slammed the clash from going ahead, but Bellew is rather skeptical and doubts Paul will even opt to step foot in the ring with Joshua.
