Professional headgear stylist, Irene Eyluche Aduba, founder of Irene Artistry, captivated audiences at the Beauty in the Motherland 2026 event with a live, intricate exhibition of the traditional Igbo Ichafu.

The live showcase highlighted the beauty and elegance of the Ichafu, a headpiece that has long stood as a staple of Igbo women’s cultural dressing. Through her live styling session, Aduba demonstrated her core mission: to preserve traditional styling methods while interpreting them through a modern, contemporary lens.

“It’s really all about celebrating our culture and heritage and keeping it relevant,” Aduba shared during the exhibition.

The exhibition successfully merged ancestral heritage with modern styling artistry, drawing admiration from attendees and celebrating the richness of Nigerian culture on a grand platform.
