The Director, North-West Area Office (NWAO) 2 of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr. Anthony Madubuochi Nzoka, has charged staff of the Kebbi State Secretariat to work assiduously in uplifting the image of the scheme and to demonstrate loyalty and honesty in service delivery.
Nzoka gave the charge during his familiarization visit to the Kebbi State Secretariat, Birnin Kebbi.
He congratulated staff members who were recently promoted, stressing that the best way to reciprocate management’s gesture was to redouble their efforts and enhance productivity.
The Director described his visit as a “homecoming,” recalling with nostalgia his service year in the old Sokoto State when he was deployed to The Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, in 1990.
He told the Staff that he served as Corps Liaison Officer (CLO) and distinguished himself through numerous impactful CDS projects, stressed that his outstanding performance earned him the State Governor’s Award in 1991.
Nzoka said, during the visit of the then NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General H. B. Momoh (rtd), he was offered automatic employment into the NYSC saying h
that “staff of Kebbi State office need to emulate the same spirit of loyalty and commitment that had shaped his own career path.”.
He also encouraged staff to accord Corps Members a warm reception, noting that such treatment influences their decision to serve wholeheartedly in the state.
According to him, “I want to advise you them to take advantage of Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) trainings, not only for the benefit of Corps Members but also for their own self-development”.
