Big Brother Naija 10/10 housemate Farida Sultana Auduson Ibrahim, also known as Sultana, has disclosed that she chose Islam over Christianity.
The 25-year-old plus-size model revealed that she was raised by a Muslim father and a Christian mother, but she chose to practise Islam because it is the faith that ‘works best’ for her.
She shared that she was a Catholic with the baptismal name Josephine before she converted to Islam.
She disclosed this during a chat with fellow housemate, Zita, on Wednesday night.
Zita: “Are your parents strict Muslims?”
Sultana: “No, I grew up going to both church and mosque, my mom is a Christian. At some point I got baptized in Catholic, my baptismal name is Josephine. I just decided to choose the religion that works best for me, which is Islam.”
Sultana’s father is a Muslim from Adamawa State, while her mother is a Christian from Yala, Cross River State.
