BBA election: Paul emerges president as association inaugurate new executives

The Balogun Business Association (BBA) has inaugurated new executives to manage its affairs for the next three years, with Chief Oscar Paul Odogwu, emerging as its new president.

The election, which produce the new executive  was conducted in 2021 but the leadership could not be inaugurated because of succession dispute orchestrated by the immediate past president.  Other members of the executives include Lolo Chinyere Nwabuikwu (1stVice President), Nze Valentine Odera (2ndVice President Mr. Emeka Nnamani(Gen Sec), Jeff Ekejiuba (Financial Secretary), Akidi Okey Ezeaku (Assistant Secretary), Hon. Afam Vincent Okeke (PRO1), Calistus Okoye (PRO2); Tonia Afunugo (Provost1) and Grace Uche Mbamalu (Welfare Director).

On why the inauguration took so long to be effected, former president of the association, Chief Alex Obi Odunukwe said, shortly after Tony Obi tenure expired, election was conducted and it produce Chief Oscar Odogwu.

But Mr. Obi rejected the election result and set up caretaker committee. The matter dragged until May this year when the Oscar led executive got injunction to be inaugurated Wednesday.

In his acceptance speech, Chief Odogwu described his three year struggle to win his mandate as victory for all. He therefore call on members of BBA and their numerous customers to go about their business without fear of molestation from any quarter.
