Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has confirmed that the club is close to reaching an agreement with Harry Kane over a new contract.
Speaking to Sport Bild on Wednesday, Dreesen expressed optimism about the negotiations, saying discussions were ongoing to finalise the details.
“I’m very positive! We are working on the details. Harry is fantastic, we’re proud to have the Ballon d’Or winner,” he said.
Kane, who was crowned the 2026 Ballon d’Or winner on Monday, is in the final stages of negotiations over an extension to his current deal, which expires in the summer of 2027.

The proposed agreement is expected to keep the England captain at the German champions until at least 2029.
Kane has been outstanding since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, scoring heavily and becoming a central figure in the team under manager Vincent Kompany. Both the club and the player have repeatedly expressed their desire to continue the partnership.
An agreement in principle was reached earlier this month, with only the final details now being finalised.
