PDP

As part of efforts to consolidate its structure and strengthen its support base, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa has commenced its electronic membership registration on the party’s official portal.

PDP Chairman in Bayelsa, George Turnah, noted that the membership validation and registration, aside from being part of efforts to strengthen its membership base, would also help to deepen internal democracy.

A statement by his Media Assistant, Kevin Loveday-Egbo, stated that Turnah, while speaking shortly after completing his own registration, called on Bayelsans and non-indigenes residing in the state to take advantage of the registration window to enlist and become legitimate members of the party.

Turnah particularly encouraged young people, men and women across the state, to actively participate in the process, noting that the PDP remains a credible platform through which citizens can pursue their political aspirations and freely express their choice of leaders.

He added that wider participation in the e-registration exercise would further strengthen the party’s structures and position it to continue driving the political, economic and infrastructural transformation of Bayelsa State.
