The eight All Progressives Congress (APC) National Assembly candidates in Bayelsa State have been presented with their Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) certificates of nomination by the state governor, Senator Douye Diri.
The national headquarters of the party, after reviewing reports from the Appeal Committee, upheld the results of the primary election conducted by its election committee.
It subsequently handed over the certificates of nomination for all the candidates to the party leadership in the state.
Those presented with the certificates are High Chief Fidelis Agbiki (Bayelsa West), Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli (Bayelsa East), and Senator Friday Konbowei Benson (Bayelsa Central).

Others are Mr Rex Ogbuku (Ogbia Federal Constituency), Jonathan Robinson Obuebite (Nembe/Brass Federal Constituency), Hon. Rodney Ambaiowei (Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency), Hon. Oforji Oboku (Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Federal Constituency), and Hon. Bernard Sunday Kenebai (Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency).
The presentation of the nomination certificates to the candidates reaffirms the party’s readiness for the 2027 elections.
The event underscored the party’s commitment to unity, consultation and strategic engagement as it intensifies preparations for the electoral contest ahead.
