The Bauchi state government yesterday staged an Investment Roadshow in Kano as part of preparations for the Bauchi State Investment Summit slated for October 9, 2025.

Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Aminu Hammayo, assured investors of a business-friendly environment, highlighting ongoing efforts to fix road infrastructure and strengthen security.

“Our commitment is to close infrastructure gaps and create a safe space where businesses can thrive. He noted that similar roadshows had earlier been held in Abuja, Lagos, and Enugu, adding that the large turnout in Kano reflected the state’s entrepreneurial drive” he said.

He urged Kano’s business community to take advantage of Bauchi’s vast opportunities across agriculture, solid minerals, and tourism. “Bauchi is open for business, and we invite you to explore its enormous prospects,” he added.

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, represented by Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, and Cooperatives, Shehu Wada Sagagi, lauded Bauchi’s initiative and stressed the importance of inter-state collaboration.

“Both Bauchi and Kano have what it takes to depend on each other for growth,” Sagagi said. “While Bauchi is rich in gold and raw materials, Kano remains the commercial hub. Together, we can build stronger economies rather than compete.”

He disclosed plans to establish a gold market in Bauchi to boost trade and investment, stressing that “the era of unhealthy competition among states is over; now is the time for synergy and collaboration.”
