Bauchi State governor, Senator Bala Mohammad on Monday cjarged5 newly sworn-in commissioners to be partners in progress for the speedy development of the state.

Mohammed made the appeal during the swearing in of his new cabinet on Monday.

Some politicians who served during his first tenure made the list of new Commissioners.

The State Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar performed the swearing in of the new Commissioners.

Five women made the list of new Commissioners, landing key ministries, a first in the history of the State.

Dr Lydia Haruna Tsammani was assigned ministry of Higher Education Ministry, while Dr Jamila Muhammad Dahiru heads Education, Hajia Amina Muhammad Katagum is Commissioner for Ministry of Lands and Survey.

The other two women who got juicy ministries are Hara Jibrin Gidado (Women Affairs and Child Development) and Hajara Yakubu Wanka (Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management)

Former Commissioner of Budget, Economic Planning and Multilateral Coordination Alhaji Aminu Hammayo retained his position while former Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs also retained in the Cabinet moved to Water Resources Ministry.

Ahmed Aliyu Sarki who was former Commissioner for Water Resources would now head the juicy Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs ministry.

Also sworn in was the immediate past Chairman of Bauchi Local Government area Mahmoud Baba Magaji Abubakar who is now elevated as Commissioner of Commerce, Industry and investment.

Alh Hamisu Shira, who was former Commissioner of Housing during the first tenure is posted to the Ministry of Cooperatives and SME’s, while former Deputy Speaker Ahmed Danlami Kawule is now the new Commissioner of Housing and Environment.

Governor Mohammed called on the newly sworn-in commissioners to support the administration quest for continued Development of the state.

He urged them to partner with relevant stakeholders in their respective Local Government areas to achieve the desired development of the state.
