The Bauchi State Police Command has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, GCON, who passed away in Saudi Arabia.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani Omolori Aliyu, described the late jurist as a towering figure in Nigeria’s judiciary whose life was marked by integrity, dedication, and commitment to justice.
According to the statement, Justice Muhammad’s contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria’s judicial system remain indelible.
He noted that Justice Tanko’s tenure as Chief Justice reflected professionalism and unwavering adherence to the rule of law.

CP Omolori extended the Command’s heartfelt condolences to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed AbdulKadir, CON (Kauran Bauchi), the Giade Emirate Council, the bereaved family, members of the judiciary, and Nigerians at large over the irreparable loss.
The Commissioner prayed that God forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him eternal rest.
The statement was signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command, Superintendent of Police Nafiu Habib, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police.
