From Paul Orude Bauchi

A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, Hon. Musa Zango, has commended Governor Bala Mohammed for being courageous enough to criticise the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while many are shying away from telling the President the truth.

Zango stated that the governor was right in a patriotic way about Tinubu’s policies as an opposition saying Nigeria is currently at the precipice as more Nigerians are being impoverished.

The PDP chieftain believed that critiquing the President in that direction should not attract negative reaction from former Speaker Dogara as the latter is not helping the country by pretending that all is well.

He was reacting to Dogara’s reaction to criticism leveled against the President by Governor Mohammed on the bad governance saying it exposed the hypocritical nature of Dogara.

Speaking with journalists in Bauchi, Zango believed that the reaction of Dogara was unnecessary and went overboard.

The PDP Chieftain described the Governor s a politician known for speaking the truth to power when most people will rather ‘Siddon Look’ as he did in the famous Doctrine of Necessity during the era of late President Umar Yaradu which brought political solution at a time the country was in a fix.

He argued that the governor yet again spoke the minds of the majority of Nigerians when he advised the President to act fast concerning the worsening hardship and suffering in the country as a result of anti people policies since the All Progressives Congress administration of Tinubu came into power.

“The comment made by the Bauchi state governor Bala Mohammad that President Bola Tinubu’s policies will not take Nigeria to the promise land was viewed by Dogara as an attack on the president forgetting that those policies are inflicting untold hardship on Nigeria’s people, “ he said.

Zango, who is the of Chairman of Kauran Bauchi Frontiers, said what Dogara and his misled supporters failed to realize is that Governor Mohammed has the highest respect for the office and person of Mr. President.

He believed constructive criticism was part of the democratic process which is borne of patriotism and respect for constituted authority.

“Without mincing words we want to state categorically here that Governor Mohammed’s comment against Mr. President Policies need not to attract negative reactions considering the fact that Nigerians had been exposed to abject poverty,” he said.

“Any well-meaning Nigerian will not speak against Governor Mohammed’s comment because he has shown that he is a patriotic Nigerian”
