An international nongovernmental organization, Helen Keller International, has presented an Award of Excellence to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State in recognition of his contributions to nation building.
The state commissioner for Agriculture, Prof Simon Madugu Yalams who received the award on the behalf of the governor, later presented it to the recipient at the Executive Chamber of the Government house.
Yalams said the international firm acknowledged the immense contributions of the governor to the development of the country.
Receiving the award, the Governor appreciated Helen Keller International for recognizing his contribution to nation building.
Mohammed dedicated the award to members of his cabinet and the good people of Bauchi state and promised to continue to work hard for the peace and progress of Nigeria.
