Barcelona secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory away to 10-man Atletico Madrid on Saturday night to open up a seven-point gap at the top of the La Liga table.
Robert Lewandowski scored in the 87th minute to help the Catalan side win the game before a crowd of 67,710 at the Metropolitano.
Diego Simeone’s side went ahead in the 39th minute from a Giuliano Simeone strike.

Hansi Flick’s side responded three minutes later through Marcus Rashford, who slotted home from a Dani Olmo assist.
Both sides continued to ask questions until Atletico’s Nicolás González got sent off in the 47th minute for a foul on Lamine Yamal.
Barcelona now lead with seven points over second-place Real Madrid, who fell to a 2-1 loss away to Real Mallorca.
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid meet again on Wednesday night for the UEFA Champions quarter final first-leg clash.
