Sarina Wiegman, England women’s national team coach, has shown once again that she is a diehard Burna Boy fan after requesting a dance session with him at the 2025 Ballon d’Or event.
Wiegman was named Coach of the Year (Women) at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris after leading the Lionesses to Euro 2025 victory in Switzerland.
While giving her acceptance speech, she expressed gratitude to players, staff, and family before engaging in playful banter about a dance session with Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy.

“Let’s celebrate our successes too, and if Burna Boy is around, maybe we could do a little bit of dancing too,” she said.
In a swift response via his official X account, Burna Boy stated that he was up for it, adding a congratulatory message to the coach and her team.
“Haha, I’m up for it Sarina! A huge congrats to you and the team #Lionesses,” the singer penned.
