Bagudu vows to continue to support sports

Kebbi state Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has vowed to continue to support football and Sports activities in the state.
He stated this while receiving trophy won by the Kebbi State All Stars in the just concluded All Stars competition held in Nasarrawa,where Kebbi Team defeated the hosting state to emerge the champion.
The team, it could be recalled, won the game after a thrilling penalty shootout that saw all their six players scoring 6 goals, while the host, Nasarawa All Stars had a penalty missed by Yahaya, their goalkeeper
Bagudu,represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Babale Yauri,said that the state government, since inception of Bagudu’s administration, has determined to promote football and Sports activities to engage the youths
“I can assure you that the state government would continue to support and assist Sports. I hope that other Clubs in the state would win and bring more laurels to the state. I also want to enjoin other eminent people in the state to support Sports in the state”, he said.
Earlier, the Chairman of NFF in Kebbi state, Alhaji Abubakar Chika Ladan told Bagudu that since the inception of his administration, the Sports sector has continue to waxing stronger and many of the players from the state are now playing in foreign clubs including FC Porto in Portugal.
He disclosed that he the next few years to come, many indigenes of the state would be among best world footballers across the world.
In his remark, the Chairman of All Kebbi Stars,Nura Abdullahi Koko attributed their success to the continuous support they have been receiving from the state government.
