Afrobeats singer Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has revealed that she recently underwent major surgery.
The singer made the disclosure in a post shared on her Instagram Story on Thursday, apologising to fans for her reduced activity on social media.
She explained that her recovery had been more challenging than she initially expected.
“Hey Mobstarrs, I’m sorry you’re not seeing as much of me as I would like. I had major surgery a few days ago. I was hoping it would be a quick recovery, but it was more complicated than they expected.

In a separate update shared on Instagram, the singer encouraged fans to pre-order the project, revealing that she had signed copies of her first vinyl and CD inserts.
“Hey Mobstarrs. I’m signing my first vinyl and CD inserts. Go to shop.ayrastarr.com. Go get your vinyl and your signed CDs,” she said.
