Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has opened up about a past relationship she described as a secret and unhealthy “situationship.”
The ‘Rush’ hitmaker made the revelation during a recent interview on Way Up With Angela Yee, where she spoke about her personal life and relationships.
According to the singer, the relationship was kept private and known only to the two of them, even as her friends repeatedly advised her to walk away.

“It was a secret, unhealthy situationship, no one knew except us. My friends kept telling me to end it, but I loved him and kept going back because we had a real friendship,” she said.
Ayra Starr explained that despite the emotional connection, the relationship did not appear to be progressing, which eventually made her question its future.
“It wasn’t going anywhere, so I started asking myself: where do we go from here? I wanted it private, but at the same time I wanted him to fight for me,” she added.
The singer, who has largely kept her private life away from the spotlight, rarely speaks publicly about her relationships, making the revelation a rare glimpse into her personal experiences.
