Bishop Francis Wale Oke, President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Presiding Bishop, Sword of the Spirit Ministries, has called on Nigerians to revere God and honour Him diligently to avoid provoking His wrath.
Speaking at the ongoing eight-day Holy Ghost Convention 2025 of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, he enjoined the leaders and followers in the country to move away from everything that does not please God.
He emphasised that every act of obedience to divine instructions leads to elevation and blessing, while disobedience leads to stagnation and retrogression.
The cleric revealed that there is a powerful apostolic mantle placed on Nigeria by the Holy Spirit, symbolising a divine repeat of the biblical events in the Upper Room on the Day of Pentecost.
He urged believers to remain sensitive to the spirit’s movement and align with God’s eternal purpose by planting vibrant seeds of the church in every nation on earth.
Oke also spoke about Vision 2033, describing it as an apostolic season marking precisely 2,000 years since the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus’ disciples, birthing the first church of the New Covenant.

He noted that 2033 would herald a modern-day Pentecost and called on believers to take the gospel to all nations.
The PFN President also noted the positive aspects of the ongoing japa syndrome in the country, stating that it presents an opportunity for Nigerians to spread the gospel globally.
He encouraged believers to see the japa syndrome as a chance to take the gospel to the world, rather than just a mass exodus.
Oke also issued a sobering warning, citing the example of David Yonggi Cho’s church in South Korea, which grew to a staggering 450,000-seat capacity but failed to replicate its success in others.
He cautioned against complacency and urged believers to remain vigilant and passionate about spreading the gospel.
The Holy Ghost Convention, themed ‘Great Joy: Sound From Heaven,’ has been described by participants as spirit-filled and transformative, with many sharing testimonies of deep spiritual encounters.
