The police and other sister agencies in Borno have beefed up security in Maiduguri following reported attempt on the life of a lady said to have posted an alleged blasphemous commenting.
Police patrol vehicles were seen parts of the capital on Sunday.
A lady identified as Naomi Gomi reported commented on a trending post over the Sokoto incident.
Her comment triggered sharp reactions on the Facebook page as someone volunteered the lady’s location and house with a warning to get her.
The development made security to act swiftly as the lady and her family were evacuated from their house late Saturday to forestall possible attack.
However, the metropolis is calm as at press time.
