Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar met with stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State on Thursday to review the party’s current state and plan for its future growth.
The strategic engagement brought together party leaders, influential members, and grassroots coordinators from across the state to assess ongoing mobilisation efforts and member registration.
Atiku highlighted the importance of strong organisational structures and active engagement at all levels.
“We reviewed the current state of our party, particularly regarding the ongoing registration of members and mobilisation efforts. We are confident about where we stand now and enthusiastic about prospects,” he said on X.
He added that effective party organisation is not just about numbers but about creating systems that encourage participation, foster accountability, and ensure members feel connected to the party’s vision.

Atiku encouraged stakeholders to continue building networks within communities, actively engaging youth, and ensuring the ADC’s message reaches every corner of the state.
He acknowledged the challenges political parties face in sustaining support but insisted clear planning, inclusive leadership, and sustained effort can overcome them.
“Effective engagement and organisational discipline are critical. Our members must feel part of the party and its mission,” he stated.
The former vice-president concluded by expressing optimism about the ADC’s trajectory, noting that consistent effort at all levels would strengthen the party’s presence in Adamawa and nationwide.
