Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has commiserated with popular actor, Francis Duru over the death of his son.

Daily Sun reported that Duru announced the death of his son, Ifeanyi in an Instagram post on Thursday.

“My champ! My lion, you fought like a lion. If this is the way He wants it, so be it, I still judge you faithful.

“Ifeanyi, my champ. I will miss you, son. I will forever love you. Rest in peace, son, rest. I give you thanks, Lord!” the veteran actor wrote.

In a condolence message shared on Facebook, Atiku said, “I extend my heartfelt thoughts and fervent prayers to Francis Duru and his cherished family as they traverse the sombre path of grief following the departure of his beloved son, Ifeanyi.

“The profound sorrow that accompanies the loss of a child delves to the very core of the soul, for it defies the ordained sequence where children bid farewell to their parents.

“May the Almighty envelop you and your loved ones, offering solace and strength in this trying hour.

“Permit me, on behalf of my kin, to convey my sincerest sympathies and unwavering support to you all.”
