Atalanta Manager: How I helped Lookman improve his game

Lookman-1

The manager of Italian football club Atalanta, Gian Piero Gasperini, has shared how he helped Super Eagles winter Ademola Lookman improve his game, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The Bergamo-based side played out a 1-1 draw against Sporting CP of Portugal in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League round of 16.

And Nigerian International was the cynosure of all eyes with his interesting display.

“We all see Lookman‘s potential and speed, but we must admit that he once didn’t play so offensively.

“He used to score 6/7 goals a year, while now he is quick, good at dribbling, even strong with his head.

“I encourage him because now and then, he hides from the game, but I believe that when he approaches the area, he can become a reference player for our team”, he told Pazzi Di Fanta.

Lookman has scored 8 goals and 3 assists in 21 games for Atalanta this season.
