Nigerian Afrobeats singer Asake has made history by becoming the first African to headline the U.S. edition of Red Bull Symphonic at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on Saturday.

The performance featured a 33-piece orchestra reimagining some of Asake’s hit songs like Lonely at the Top’ and ‘Terminator’, fusing Afrobeats and classical music.

Others who performed as surprise guests include Wizkid, Gunna, Central Cee, Tiakola, and Fridayy. They were part of collaborations such as ‘MMS’ and ‘Happiness’.

The sold-out show also saw Asake preview an unreleased track from his upcoming album ‘Mr. Money’.
