Artisan association commends FG’s commitment to empowerment of artisans

The Builders, Construction and Skilled Artisans Association of Nigeria (BACSAAN) has commended the federal government for its commitment to the empowerment and development of artisans and builders.

The commendation was given at the end of a meeting held under the leadership of the National President of the association, Alhaji Fasasi Mohammed Jamiu to review recent federal government policies affecting artisans and builders.

The meeting was convened to evaluate ongoing government initiatives designed to uplift the nation’s skilled workforce.

The committee commended the federal government’s drive through the Federal Ministry of Education particularly in the area of Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) which is aimed at equipping artisans with modern skills and ensuring they remained integral to Nigeria’s economic development.

In his address, Alhaji Fasasi Mohammed Jamiu lauded the government’s efforts in recognizing the roles of artisans in national growth, noting that such inclusive policies would not only boost employment, but also promote self-reliance among Nigerian youths.

He further emphasized that the association remains committed to partnering with relevant government agencies to ensure the full realization of the empowerment initiatives.

“The present administration in conjunction with the Ministry of Education has shown genuine interest in artisans and builders. We are encouraged by the government’s proactive policies which prioritize skill development and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for our members nationwide,” he said.

In his remarks, the Technical Adviser of the association, Architect Dapo Ademola Adesina commended BACSAAN for aligning with the government’s vision to elevate technical education.

He emphasized the critical roles of state and federal synergy in expanding skill acquisition opportunities for youths.

The National Working Committee also resolved to strengthen internal structures that will enhance capacity-building, technical training and certification programs for members in all states of the federation.
