Arsenal now leads the Premier League by six points after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 on Sunday.
Both Manchester City and Liverpool had dropped points, with City losing 2-1 at Newcastle United and Liverpool losing 3-0 to Nottingham Forest at Anfield.
Mikel Arteta’s side flew out of the blocks against their city rivals and went two goals up before the break.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for Arsenal, before Eberechi Eze slammed in a second.
Eze scored immediately after the break, before completing his hat-trick to seal maximum points.
Arsenal now have 29 points, six more than Chelsea, who they play next in the league.
