Pep Guardiola has described Arsenal as the best team in England so far this season, while insisting the title race remains open.
Speaking after a tightly contested encounter, the Manchester City manager acknowledged Arsenal’s current form but stressed that his side would continue to push until the end.
“So far, they are the best team in England, but of course we extend the chance and the hopes to fight until the end,” Guardiola said.
He praised the intensity and quality of the match, describing it as a strong showcase of the Premier League.

“It was a good advert for the Premier League. They don’t allow you to go through the process, they’re so aggressive. They are good in the duels and one of the most competitive teams I have ever faced in my career,” he added.
Guardiola also highlighted Arsenal’s physicality and direct approach, noting their effectiveness in one-on-one battles and second-ball situations.
“When you beat them once, it’s difficult, but twice in a short time is even harder. They are so competitive and aggressive in all departments. We had momentum, they had momentum, we had chances, they had chances. In these types of games, it comes down to small margins.”
Despite the praise, Pep Guardiola maintained that the result was just one game in a long season, urging his players to remain focused.
“I’ve been so demanding, but the reality is it’s just one game. They are top of the league with one goal difference. We have to enjoy it, celebrate it, take the good things, but not lose focus. The focus is in three days, we go to Burnley,” he said.
