Wolves’ striker, Tolu Arokodare while expressing his delight scoring his first goal for the club, has promised the fans more goals moving forward.
Arokodare scored his first goal as the Midlands side sealed a 2-0 win over Everton in the Carabao Cup third round at Molineux, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 24-year-old Super Eagles forward came off the bench to wrap up the game in the 87th minute, side-footing home to double Wolves’ advantage after Marshall Munetsi had opened the scoring in the first half.
Moments after the final whistle, took to his X (formerly Twitter) platform to promise Wolves fans more goals moving forward.
“First goal in gold and we pray for more. Next round let’s go!! #teatime”
The goal was his first for Wolves since joining the club and boosted confidence in Vítor Pereira’s squad after a stuttering start to the season.
Pereira had made nine changes from the side that played in the Premier League the previous weekend, switching to a back four and giving minutes to fringe players.
The tactical switch paid off, with Andre earning Player of the Match for his defensive work and midfield distribution.
