Championship side Wolves CANCELLED their training session on Monday after striker Tolu Arokodare refused to leave the pitch. Extra security was also deployed the following day to ensure that the 25-year-old didn’t return to the club’s training ground.
The extraordinary development comes just weeks into Cesar Peixoto’s reign as manager. The Portuguese was brought in to replace Rob Edwards, who was sacked after Wolves were relegated from the Premier League by finishing rock bottom of the table.
Arokodare, who scored just six goals in 38 games, was part of the squad responsible for Wolves’ dismal season and had been linked with a move away. And his future at Molineux has been plunged into further uncertainty following Monday’s debacle.

The Wolves Poddy report that training was cancelled because of Arokodare’s refusal to leave the pitch when asked not to train with the rest of the squad. On Tuesday, Wolves increased security at Compton Park to stop the ex-Genk star from entering.
Arokodare won’t be involved when Wolves face non-league outfit Maidenhead United in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night.
Clubs from Serie A including Genoa and Fiorentina are interested in signing Arokodare, with the latter having seen a bid rejected earlier this month.
