Army trains Senior NCOs on inter-agency collaboration, social media use

The General Officer Commanding GOC 6 Division Major-General Emmanuel Emekah, has tasked senior non-commissioned officers of the Division to exhibit high morale in leadership and inter-agency collaboration. 

Emekah gave the charge on Friday, while declaring closed a five-day Leadership Awareness Course 14/2026 for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers  of  the 6 Division Area of Responsibility (AOR) organized by the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC).

Represented by the Chief of Staff, Headquarters, 6 Division, Brigadier General Emmanuel Adamu, the GOC commended NARC for organizing the course for the senior non-commissioned officers and for the 6 Division to be the host.

Also, Major-General Emekah thanked the organizers for their diligence in conducting the course, stating the course would broaden the  officers’ knowledge and efficiency.

The GOC reiterated that, as the  leadership awareness and development course for the  officers has come to an end, the  participants should  deploy their newly gained knowledge to inter-agency engagement.

He expressed optimism on the usefulness of the course for the participants urged them to make responsible use of the social media in their daily engagements.

Major-General Emekah expressed: “As we conclude this leadership awareness and development course for senior non-commissioned officers, I want on behalf of the General Officer Commanding, express gratitude to the centre for finding time to come and conduct the course in 6 Division.

“The course has broadened the knowledge of participants on leadership and inter-agency collaboration, as well as the responsible use of social media.

“Accordingly, I want to congratulate the participants for successfully completing the course and I urge them to deploy the knowledge gained in their units and formation to bridge the obvious gaps, especially while operating in a joint and inter-agency environment.”
