Army honours 3 retiring warrant officers

The Commander, 55 Signals Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Clement Iyere, has held a send-forth ceremony for three Master Warrant Officers (MWOs) proceeding on terminal leave after 35 years of meritorious service to the Nigerian Army.

The ceremony, held on Wednesday at the Brigade Headquarters, Victoria Island, Lagos, was organised to honour the retiring officers for their dedication, loyalty and sacrifices to the service.

The honourees are MWO Rabiu Ibironke, Chief Clerk of the Brigade; MWO Bello Wasiu; and MWO Stephen Andrew, Regimental Sergeant Major, 35 Artillery Brigade Signals.

Speaking at the event, Brig. Gen. Iyere commended the retiring personnel for their years of service and contributions to the Nigerian Army.

He urged them to remain law-abiding and worthy ambassadors of the Armed Forces even after retirement.

Responding on behalf of his colleagues, MWO Ibironke expressed appreciation to the Brigade Commander for his leadership and the transformation witnessed in the Brigade under his command.

He particularly commended the Commander for the infrastructural development and improvements recorded within the formation.
