Daredevil armed robbers have continued unleashed terror at two Imo communities, Orogwe and Ndegwu,both in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, killing three youths in a single raid on Tuesday night.
Eye witness from the troubled communities said the robbers who came in two different motorcycles carrying two of their gang members each first stormed a local guesthouse at Umuezu Ndegwu, ordered all the guests to lie down on the floor before forcefully dispossessing them of their cash and valuables.
Unfortunately, the robbers shot a guest who was alleged to have proven stubborn at the guesthouse when he purportedly refuse to lie down like others while another sex worker who attempted to jump over the long fence of the place got herself wounded,breaking one of her leg in the process.
The hoodlums further moved to Orogwe market junction same night at about 8 pm where they also shot and killed two youths after dispossessing them of their phones and other valuables.
Also,a reliable source said the hoodlums snatched three motorcycles from their different owners ,looted shops before disappearing from the scene.
It would be recalled that a former federal Neuropsychiatrist Hospital, Enugu, Managing Director lost his SUV vehicle ,phones and cash to the hoodlums earlier on Monday.
When contacted, the State police spokesman, Henry Okoye said the command is yet to be briefed on the incident, but however assured that the “operation show of force is still very much in function everywhere in the State.
