A Northern group, Arewa Think Tank (ATT) has lauded President Bola Tinubu and the United States of America for a coordinated attack and bombing of terrorists camps in Nigeria.
A combination of Nigerian and American military began the onslaught against terrorists in Sokoto State on Wednesday.
Reacting to the development, Convener of the ATT, Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu expressed support for the war against terrorism in the country, saying it was a welcome development.

However, Yakubu warned that the attack against criminal elements should not be politicized, and called on all citizens to support President Tinubu for the country to enjoy peace and unity.
“The American bombing of terrorists in Nigeria is a welcome development because it has the support of the Federal government. Nigeria has been fighting this battle, this challenge over 15 years now. So any help from outside the country is welcomed provided it has the support and cooperation of the Federal government, which in this case, it has the support. We are very happy about it and we support it.
“This war is not peculiar to any faith, it affects both the Christians and the Muslims. So any help that will ameliorate our sufferings as Nigerians is welcome. We should not politicise the help and support we are getting from US so that we can continue to live as united Nigerians.
“This is the time we need to stand up as patriotic citizens and support our government. It is not about politics, not about APC, not about PDP. It is about lives of Nigerians that are being killed. So we should not use politics to go against the support we are getting now. We should stand up and support Mr President,” Yakubu said.
