Ronald Araujo grabbed the winner as Barcelona beat Albacete 2-1 in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals on Tuesday night.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 39th minute from a through ball from Frenkie De Jong.
Embattled Araujo added to the tally with a powerful 56th-minute header from a Marcus Rashford corner kick.
Javi Moreno scored a consolation goal for the hosts in the 87th minute but Hansi Flick’s side held on for victory.
Speaking after the game, Flick praised Araujo.

”The goal will help him gain more confidence. It’s what we need and what he needs. We support him and help him,” the Barcelona manager told reporters.
Araujo had faced severe criticism from some Barcelona fans for a pattern of high-profile mistakes in crucial Champions League matches, including getting sent off during a 3-0 thrashing by Chelsea in late 2025.
The heavy backlash against the Uruguayan caused him to take a break for mental health reasons.
