Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has described Prince Benjamin Apugo as gift to mankind.
Otti stated this in Umuahia at the weekend when he visited Apugo at his home to felicitate with the APC Chieftain on his birthday.
Apugo, was a member of the national caucus and member of Board of Trustees of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Speaking with newsmen, the governor said, “We thank God for his life, we also thank God for the gift of Ochiagha, because he is a gift to humanity. He has made a lot of impact, he is a man that stands for the truth, he is resilient, he cannot be pushed around and that who our people are. Our people are resilient and hard working people. Our people are not people you can push around easily.

“Apugo represents the Abia spirit, my prayer is that will continue to keep him in good health and in happiness including all that are around him. I know in another one year, we will come around to celebrate him and we will continue to celebrate him.”
Apugo had earlier, lauded Otti for his efforts in changing things in Abia positive and hoped he will do more
“Aba has been the city enjoying from Otti’s actions in the main time, but I believe we in Umuahia will start to feel his administration’s dividend of democracy if it starts the construction of the Umuahia Sports Complex.
Otti said it was wrong to accuse APC or President Bola Tinubu if attempt to turn the country into a one party state, adding that nobody has been forced to join the party.
