The African Alliance Party (AAP) has expressed optimism that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will soon register it as a political party ahead of the 2027 polls.

INEC had earlier registered the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

AAP National Chairman Olusegun Iyaobaje Peters, in a statement, called on all AAP members across Nigeria to remain calm, take courage and stay focused on party activities in their various states.

Iyaobaje said: “The leadership of AAP are on top of the situation, confident that our political association will soon be registered as a political party. We really appreciate members who worked hard for the progress of the African Alliance Party.”
