Apostle Emmanuel Iren, founder and lead pastor of Celebration Church International, has shared new insights on spiritual leadership, purpose and cultural issues during an appearance on The Echo Podcast, hosted by global speaker Olushola Olaleye.

Speaking on the subject of longevity in leadership, Apostle Iren stated that one of the ways God preserves leaders is by concealing the full impact of their work. According to him, this keeps individuals focused on future responsibilities rather than past accomplishments.

He also recounted a childhood experience in which a business setback left his family with an unfinished house in Lagos. He said the incident, shaped by his mother’s empathy and his father’s boldness, contributed to the development of his leadership values.

Apostle Iren further reflected on his university years, describing them as a period of spiritual awakening that transformed him from an introverted student into a leader with long-term vision beyond campus activities.

During the interview, he addressed ongoing debates around faith and culture, specifically misconceptions about biblical teachings on women and leadership. He emphasized the importance of interpreting submission and gender roles through a compassionate and balanced theological perspective.

Apostle Iren stated that his mission remains to promote faith-driven leadership rooted in humility, hard work and an appreciation of personal and spiritual growth.
