The war against insecurity would be won only by cultivating a culture of good governance where the government is responsible and accountable to the people.
Lead Pastor ,Victory Life Bible Church International, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, yesterday said good governance and accountability to the people would curtail insecurity in the country.
Speaking at the maiden Security Summit organised by the Security and Safety Marshals of Ogun State Community Orientation and Safety Corps in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, Achudume said the underlying principle of good governance and focusing on people as the ultimate objective of governance, would end insurrection in Nigeria.
Represented by the Lagos District Head of VLBC Int’l, Bishop Adebanji Agbebi, Achudume noted that one of the ways to solve the challenges of insecurity in Nigeria is to accelerate the pace of socio-economic development.
“Socio-economic development is strongly considered as one of the major keys to raise security in Nigeria and development in this context, consists of creating an economy with relevant social, economic and physical infrastructure for business operations and industrial growth, “he said.
