APC youths celebrate Sylva’s birthday in Bayelsa with medical outreach, novelty match

Hundreds of youths of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State over the weekend celebrated the 59th birthday of the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva with a medical outreach and novelty football match.

While the medical outreach was conducted at the Gabriel Cultural centre, the novelty football match was organized by the youth wing of the APC led by the State Youth Leader, Chief Preye Agama.

The Novelty Football match, which was witnessed by the Wife of the former minister, Alanyingi Sylva, the former deputy governor, Peremobowei Ebebi, the former Director-General of National Agency Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Julie Donli, two members of the State House of Assembly elected on the platform of the APC and APC State women leader, Hon. Ebiere Juliana Akpobasa.

They all described Chief Timipre Sylva as their leader and declare the readiness to vote him to office as Governor come November 11th,2023.

Mrs Sylva, who spoke after the presentation of medals and cutting of the cake, said Bayelsans are celebrating her husband because of his passion and love for the development of the state.

“They can’t forget all he has done while as governor. The people here are gathered because of the future of the next generation of Bayelsans that should be protected. They have taken it to the point that he doesn’t have to be somewhere before they celebrate him”.

Also speaking, Ebebi, said the youths of the party and the state are celebrating a man whose developmental strides are still visible and endearing, a lot of activities to mark his birthday.

“As a former governor and my boss, he did well and now he is more mature and more experienced to contest the highest seat of power in the state. I am convinced and have a strong belief that he will achieve greater than what he recorded when elected as governor, in the areas of health and infrastructural developments.”

Mrs Akpobasa in her comments described Sylva as a father and leader whom the people are celebrating because of his developmental strides while as governor.

“The message has started from here, we are selling our candidate and telling the people the truth and good features of our leader. He has been there before and now he has more knowledge on governance. We have the best and tight candidate to change the fortune of Bayelsa state.”

n his remarks, Chief Agama described Sylva as a leader that Bayelsans need at this point in time because of his experience and political network.
