Bauchi South Senator Shehu Buba has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will reclaim the state from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after next year’s governorship elections.
Senator Buba spoke to journalists on the sidelines after purchasing the APC expression of interest and nomination forms in Abuja on Tuesday to seek re-election to the legislative chamber.
He claimed that the state electorate will overwhelmingly vote for the APC after the PDP government failed the people of Bauchi.

“I thank God for granting us the opportunity to witness another election cycle. As we have seen, I am physically present to obtain my nomination forms, which I have now done. And I am also calling on Nigerians, or those aspiring to contest various vacant positions advertised by the party, to do so,” he said.
Asked if he stood any chance against the PDP, the ruling party in Bauchi, Senator Buba said, “The APC stands a very good chance to take over Bauchi from the ruling PDP. I am optimistic because Bauchi is originally an APC state, and you can attest to that.
“The PDP government has failed the people of Bauchi. And being the first aspirant to obtain the forms, rest assured that, if I get the ticket, we will send the PDP out,” he noted confidently.
