The Chairman of the Local Government and Ward Congresses of the All Progressives Congress, Samuel Yanap says the ward congress in Cross River State is one of the best organized in Nigeria.

He disclosed this during the week while inspecting ward congresses in some parts of the state.

Yanap who visited selected wards alongside other members of the committee and the State Chapter Chairman, Ntufam Ekum Ojogu tasked partymen to maintain the momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“So far, we have been very impressed with what we have seen and how members have coordinated themselves.

“The congresses in the state are well organized and I believe the state will stand out as one of the best in the country with free, fair congresses.

“In APC we may have differences but at the end of the day we remain a family and must forge ahead as one”, he said.

He tasked partymen to keep up the momentum of unity and not allow the opposition to infiltrate the APC family and cause disunity.

Yandap also assured the APC stakeholders the President Tinubu and Governor Otu mean well for them and want to leave a legacy.

Also speaking, Chairman of Calabar Municipality, Hon. James Anam said the peaceful conduct of the Congress is a testament to the leadership of the governor and the party leadership in the state.

The committee visited a number of wards in Calabar South and Calabar Municipality to witness the conduct of the congresses.
